Distant Isle

The tranquil waves shimmer and flow,

Beneath blue-sky’s iridescent glow.

Streaks of silver appear and fade

With dark cobalt and brilliant jade.

This aqua flow of changing light

Mirrors the luminous sky, so bright.

And in the distance an island lies;

Within a sea of restless tides.

The isle is grey with amethyst hues,

Pristine shores and stunning views

I long to visit this arcane place,

Its rocky crags, seascapes and space.
